HEMERA COWORKING CENTER
THE BEAUTY OF WORKING TOGETHER
Thanks to a visionary mayor and a company specializing in coworking, this ambitious project has come to life. It is the radical transformation of a small 18th-century château that had successively served as a high school, boarding school, and doll museum, before ultimately being abandoned—despite its architectural and landscape value. In the 1950s and 1960s, the construction of a canteen had compromised the main façade and the beautiful panoramic courtyard, which offers breathtaking views of the surrounding natural landscape. Our work has restored the original rigor of the façades, transformed the former cafeteria into a modern panoramic restaurant—an enigmatic object clad in a bronze-patinated mesh—and revived the courtyard with a garden framed by boxwoods and cypresses. To the west, a "green gallery" now leads visitors toward the valley view from the top of the ramparts. Inside, a delicate balance between contemporary comfort and historical traces creates a truly unique work environment. In addition to shared spaces, the center offers private offices, meeting rooms, and a large conference hall. |
