I believe that the essence of my work lies in the word "naturalness". Which, in many ways, is the opposite of simplicity understood as a return to origins or, worse still, as simplification. Nature is complex, we are complex, and complexity is an inherent part of our relationship with the world. Spaces, architecture, and objects must embrace and interpret this complexity rather than erase it. They should suggest unexplored possibilities, untrodden paths, and unspoken desires. Naturalness is a quest for dialogue with all of this, an invitation to our senses to open new ways of being, perceiving, and thinking. |
My sources of inspiration rarely come from analog channels (a similar product, a solution already successfully tested). I like to contaminate design thinking with interdisciplinary elements drawn from experiences, reflections, knowledge, observations, and readings that I collect and connect. In this process, photography—thinking through the gaze—has always been, for me, an exciting tool, not only for understanding and analyzing but above all for imagining new thoughts. (Enrico Realacci) |
