Enrico Realacci Architectures was founded in Rome in 1999. Since 2019, its activities have expanded to the south of France, with significant public and private projects. The studio focuses on designing and transforming cultural and exhibition spaces, workplaces, and living spaces, with a strong emphasis on restoring, repurposing and revitalizing existing structures.
It is a highly specialized creative hub that, thanks to its network of collaborators, manages complex projects with passion and professionalism. The studio integrates a wide range of expertise: spatial planning, architectural, structural, and systems engineering, project management, lighting design, acoustics, active and passive climate control, smart home integration, energy management, multimedia design, and custom furnishings. The entire design process follows a fully interdisciplinary approach: once the core guidelines are established, all contributors work together, each bringing their own specialized knowledge. The project evolves naturally, like a living organism that refines itself over time. |
Three key principles define our design philosophy:
A continuous quest to capture both the essence and the voids of a place, understanding its identity and character, while shaping what it lacks for its "second life". Architecture is first a question, before being an answer. The creation of a system of relationships in a delicate, ever-changing balance, sensitive to human perception and emotion, open to interaction and transformation. A constant tension towards innovation, rooted in the belief that the most advanced technology is also the most discreet: the more it evolves, the more it merges with nature. The architecture of the future will be measured by its sustainability: reducing land, material, and energy consumption; rehabilitating existing structures, breathing new life and beauty into forgotten spaces. A vast effort of regeneration, not only of the built environment but also of our history, allowing us to restore value and identity to contexts, whether urban, industrial, or rural. This has always been our challenge. |
